Noveling

Legal

Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Noveling (the website and writing app at noveling.app). By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them.

The service

Noveling helps you develop stories into chaptered manuscripts, with optional generation, editing, export, and cover tools. Features and limits depend on your plan (Free, Standard, Studio, or an active trial). We may change features over time; material changes to paid plans will be communicated reasonably in advance where practical.

Accounts

You must provide a valid email address and keep access to it secure. You are responsible for activity under your account. One Studio trial per person — creating multiple accounts to circumvent trial or quota limits is not allowed. Studio trials require a payment method; the first month is charged when the trial ends unless you cancel beforehand.

Your content

You retain ownership of the writing and images you create or upload. You grant us a limited licence to host, process, and display that content solely to operate Noveling for you (including sending prompts to generation providers when you request generation).

You must not use Noveling to store or generate content that is illegal, that infringes others’ rights, or that violates these terms. We may suspend or remove accounts that abuse the service.

AI-assisted output

Generated text and images are assistive. You are responsible for reviewing output before you publish or rely on it. We do not guarantee uniqueness, factual accuracy, or fitness for a particular purpose.

Plans and billing

Free and paid tiers, prices, and quotas are described on the Plans page. Paid subscriptions are billed through Stripe. You can cancel a paid plan from Account; access continues until the end of the current billing period unless otherwise stated. Taxes may apply. Refunds are handled case by case where required by law.

Acceptable use

Availability

We aim for reliable uptime but do not warrant uninterrupted access. Maintenance, provider outages, or force majeure may affect the service.

Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Noveling and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses, or for loss of data beyond reasonable efforts to restore from backups. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under UK law (including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud).

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, except that if you are a consumer you may also bring claims in your local courts where mandatory law allows.
